Fragz' verdict
The RTX 4080 SUPER decisively wins this showdown, outperforming the RTX 3060 Ti by 167.1% in overall GPU score. This significant lead translates directly to gameplay, with the RTX 4080 SUPER hitting 60.5 FPS in Earth II Vulkan and 76.6 FPS in Mission to Earth II DX12, far exceeding the RTX 3060 Ti's 20.5 FPS and 27.2 FPS in the same tests. Its superior raw compute, evidenced by an ALU index of 488299, 16 GB of VRAM, and a 2790 MHz peak clock, explains this performance gap, though the RTX 4080 SUPER's data is based on a thin sample of only two verified runs. While the RTX 3060 Ti is a respectable card at rank 21, the RTX 4080 SUPER clearly delivers a much higher tier of performance for those seeking maximum frame rates.

What the numbers mean
The GPU score is the graphics card's own performance — that is what we rank on. GAMING is the whole rig's score in the best PC we measured the card in, and depends on processor, memory and storage. We show both and never mix them.
All numbers come from our benchmark suite: four hand-built 3D scenes written directly against the graphics APIs in Rust, the same load on every PC. The methodology is open at https://whatfps.com/metodik
