Fragz' verdict
Our testing shows the RTX 3080 Ti is the clear winner, outperforming the RTX 3060 by a massive 153.2% in overall GPU score. This huge lead is evident across all our GPU scenes, with the 3080 Ti delivering significantly higher frame rates, for example hitting 42.6 FPS in Earth II (Vulkan) compared to the 3060's 15.8 FPS. It also boasts a far superior raw compute, with an ALU index of 498822 against the 3060's 163886, and nearly triple the memory bandwidth at 290 GB/s versus 123 GB/s. For gamers, this translates to a dramatically smoother and more responsive experience, especially at higher resolutions or with demanding graphical settings. While the RTX 3060 shares the same 12 GB of VRAM, its lower raw performance, indicated by its GPU score of 3935 compared to the 3080 Ti's 9965, places it much lower in our rankings at 7th out of 9. It might still be a consideration for those on a much tighter budget who only play less demanding titles, but for serious performance, the RTX 3080 Ti is in a different league.

What the numbers mean
The GPU score is the graphics card's own performance — that is what we rank on. GAMING is the whole rig's score in the best PC we measured the card in, and depends on processor, memory and storage. We show both and never mix them.
All numbers come from our benchmark suite: four hand-built 3D scenes written directly against the graphics APIs in Rust, the same load on every PC. The methodology is open at https://whatfps.com/metodik
